美味鲜 is a Taiwanese restaurant located in Hachinohe. (There are 2 in Hachinohe) It is very similar to this Taiwanese Restaurant in Towada. You get a lot of food for cheap. I liked the food here a bit better, though.

Hinano is a buffet style restaurant located in Hachinohe. (It is next to Yamada Denki which is next to Toys R’Us). It is famous for its organic dishes and, of course, chocolate fountain! You will find Chinese and Japanese cuisine here and sometimes more! (Last time they offered lasagna!) The food is very fresh, tasty and not too heavy.
Here is a sampling of the buffet, Nabe, udon, fries, salad, greens and tempura!
I’m usually not a fan of buffets, but I really like Hinano!
Hours: lunch: Sunday to Saturday: 1130-1630 (They stop refilling the buffet at 1430)
dinner: Sunday-Thursday: 1730-2200 (stop refilling at 2030)
Friday and Saturday: 1730-2230 (stop refilling at 2100)
Directions: Enter the toll road or take Route 45 from Misawa. Exit the toll road at the Hachinohe exit and make a right at the stoplight. Continue down Route 45 until you get to Sega World and make a left (you can either go left or right). Go through two stoplights and the Pia Do sign is at the left corner of the second stoplight. Toys R’ Us is behind Pia Do and Hinano is to the right of Toys R’ Us and Yamada Denki.
If you are looking for a nice restaurant for an anniversary, birthday,Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc. try Kawayo Green Farm. As the name suggests, Kawayo Green Farm located on a farm which not only has a farm, but a Youth Hostel, Information/Gift Shoppe, Golf Course and is a popular place for wedding receptions. Prices on meals vary depending on what you order (sets start at around ¥1,360 up to ¥8,000. You can also get “light meals” for cheaper. )
After lunch, we took leisurely stroll on the farm grounds.
Directions: Go straight out the POL gate. After Universe you will see a Lawson’s on your right and after the Lawson’s is a sign for Kawayo Green Farm. Keep going straight under the overpass. Take a left at the traffic light (you will see Shanghai Ryu on the corner. When you take the left, Ho-Oh (Phoenix) Ramen will be on your right. Keep going down this street. You will come to a fork in the road and there will be train tracks in front of you. Bear left. Kawayo Green Farm is on your left.

Myeong-Dong Restaurant is located in Towada. Though their menu selection is limited, the food is wonderful. Once you step inside, you feel as though you have entered the home of a Korean mother. They have both western and eastern style seating.
The menu is divided into three sections, Main Dishes, Noodles and Barbeque and Snacks and Side Dishes. Two of my favorite dishes are actually on the snack menu, Ddokboggie and Hotteok. I highly recommend them! Along with the dishes, this restaurant serves Korean beverages as well.Non-alcoholic= Sikhye (traditional sweet rice bevarage), cinnamon juice, Korean Cider (soda) and Alcoholic = Makgeolli (milky, sweet alcoholic bevarage made from rice), flavored makgeolli, black bean makgeolli, pear makgeolli and soju.
Directions: From POL gate go straight following Route 10 into Towada. Bear left at the fork in the road and take a left onto route 45. 45 turns into 145 and the restaurant is on your right.
We were very excited when one of our Japanese friends told us about this Taiwanese restaurant in Towada! The food is pretty good and really cheap! You get a lot for what you pay for. You can order a set (like you see above) or a la carte.

Directions: From POL gate: Go straight all the way into Towada (Route 10). Take a right at Towada Technical High School (Route 165). The restaurant will be on your left, before you hit the light at the intersection for Route 4. There is parking on either side of the restaurant.
Ootoya is a chain restaurant located in Hachinohe. They serve Japanese style dishes. There is also an Ootoya located in New York!
I apologize for not having directions or hours, but if you are in Hachinohe and happen to go by Ootoya, why not try it out?

A-Factory is located next to the Wa-Reese Nebuta Float Museum. If you’ve ever been to Aomori you know that it is famous for its apples. A-Factory has a lot of edible souvenirs, a few places to eat and rest, and upstairs is home to a small cider tasting area. 
Unfortunately, the cider testing isn’t free. It is ¥100 for 30cc, ¥200 for 40cc and ¥300 for 90cc. And of course, if you find one you like, you can purchase it here. They also have Black Cat service to pack and send your souvenirs to you which is really neat if you live very far away (like Tokyo).
We took the train from Misawa to Aomori last weekend with some friends. Our first stop was ASPAM (Aomori Prefectural Center for Tourism and Industry) it is a 14 story triangular building and is tourist center for Aomori prefecture. It has an observation deck at the 13th floor and many souvenir shops.
We were lucky that day because they had a free half hour concert to enjoy and as we were about to leave we found this mascot. It was really entertaining. You can read about him and his other mascot friends here.
On the 14th floor there is a great restaurant with a panoramic view of Aomori. The meal prices were not bad either! (Note: we did go in the afternoon, I’m not sure if they have a different menu for dinner).
For some reason the only menu that was in English was the drink menu.
After eating at the restaurant we felt no need to go to the 13th floor. I hope to go again and sit at one of the bar style tables that face a window!
